The History & Heart of Rotary
Rotarians Are Everywhere — Including Sarasota Bay
Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and community leaders who come together to create lasting change — locally and around the world. In Sarasota since 1958, our club has been at the heart of that mission.
Membership
Rotary membership is by invitation — and that's intentional. When you join, you're not just signing up for a club. You're being personally welcomed by someone who already believes in you.
The easiest first step? Come to one of our Tuesday meetings as our guest. No commitment, no pressure — just lunch, great people, and a real look at what we do. If Rotary feels like a fit, a member will be glad to sponsor your membership and walk you through the rest.
Join us any 1st or 3rd Tuesday at noon at 100 Central Condominium, Sarasota — or join via Zoom. No invitation needed to visit.
Reserve your spot in person → Join via Zoom →Good conversation is how every Rotary membership begins. If you're interested, a member will offer to sponsor you. There's no hard sell — just genuine connection.
When you're ready, your sponsor guides you through our straightforward membership process. We'll handle the rest.

What We Do
From Sarasota's waterways to meals for children in need, our members show up, roll up their sleeves, and get it done.
Sarasota Bay Rotary and Sunrise Rotary planted 500 trees in a single day at Palmer Ranch Promenade Estates — a lake-encircling microforest with diverse aquatic plantings. One of the most visible environmental projects in our club's history.
