    Now raising funds

    Help us grow the Veterans Forest

    Building on the 500 trees we planted with Sunrise Rotary on World Environment Day in June 2026, we're partnering with the Florida Veterans for Common Sense Fund and the Promenade Estates HOA to add a Veterans Forest and walking trail at Honore Blvd and East Bay Street, expanding the lake-encircling microforest park.

    Our goal is $15,000. Gifts of $250 to $1,000 are matched dollar for dollar by Florida Veterans for Common Sense, up to $5,000 total, and donors are recognized on site and on planting day.

    The world comes to Sarasota

    Every January since 1978, our DGE Homestay Program has welcomed incoming Rotary District Governors from around the globe for a week of training, friendship, and Florida hospitality, hosted in local Rotarians' homes.

    A welcome from our President

    Welcome to the Rotary Club of Sarasota Bay. Since 1958, our members have been turning good intentions into real service, from planting the Promenade Veterans Forest to bringing Meals in Motion to families across Sarasota County, and welcoming Rotary leaders from around the world through our DGE Homestay Program.

    I've been a member since 1985, and what keeps me here is simple: good people, meaningful work, and friendships that last. This year, guided by Rotary's theme, Create Lasting Impact, we're growing our service and our membership.

    Join us for lunch on the 1st or 3rd Tuesday. You'll leave with new friends and a way to make a difference.

    Rotary is a global network of 1.4 million neighbors, friends, and community leaders who come together to create lasting change, locally and around the world. In Sarasota since 1958, our club has been part of that mission.

    Most people picture stuffy lunches and old business cards. The real story is members planting forests, cooking with families, hosting governors from six continents, and laughing together at the next party.

    Meet our leadership

    Dr. Todd Morgan

    Club President

    Dr. Todd Morgan

    A Sarasota optometrist and one of the club's longest-serving active members since 1985, Dr. Morgan takes the helm as President for 2026–27. A fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, he is married to Bobbi and has two daughters, Katie and Kristy.

    Tim Rumage

    Tim is a planetary ethicist and Professor of Environmental Studies at Ringling College of Art and Design, where he teaches sustainability, ecological cities, and environmental ethics. Co-author of This Spaceship Earth, he serves as Co-Chair for the Environment in District 6960 and will serve as President in 2027–28.

    Linda Chomiak

    Linda brings decades of management experience spanning international and domestic defense and commercial industry, including engineering, manufacturing, facilities, finance, supply chain, and proposal management. She served as Finance Chair for the Brookline, NH Finance Committee and volunteers at Sarasota Memorial Hospital and the Senior Friendship Center.
